Japanese Woodcarving

I am going to a woodcarving class at the Scottish National Gallery – in Edinburgh it has been inspiring (I had to buy my self extra wood carving sheet and tools) . I have been experimenting with printing on different papers and overprinting with gelli plate prints.

My printer has also come in handy to make copies to draw over.

The possibilities are endless – the cutting tools are great for carving in erasers and I have bought myself some soft carve as well – so watch this space (lol)

I went quite carving mad last week
